Job Overview:

Join the proactive Chip Methodology & Automation (CMA) team within Arm's Solutions Engineering organization! As a CAD-Synthesis Engineer, you will develop and apply scalable strategies, sequences, and automation to optimize Arm-based SoC implementation. This role gives you the chance to work across IP, architecture, and product engineering areas. You will contribute to producing production-ready solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and time to market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced methodologies and automation solutions for low-power and DFT insertion.
  • Collaborate closely with the Implementation team to improve and deploy the SIMPL flow tracer based tool for synthesis.
  • Add new features and hooks to the synthesis workflow and enable front-end teams to run and analyze it.
  • Troubleshoot bottlenecks in PPA and recommend power-user features to drive quality.
  • Assist front-end teams with limited synthesis exposure to resolve issues and ensure flawless synth flow.
  • Work with the latest and most state-of-the art technodes to achieve efficient PPA results across multiple nodes.
  • Ensure the successful deployment of methodologies and flows to the front-end teams.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven expertise in low-power synthesis and DFT insertion.
  • Familiarity with advanced technodes.
  • Extensive knowledge in crafting and rolling out scalable techniques and automation.
  • Outstanding triaging, debugging, and support skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with EDA tools and vendor collaboration.
  • Experience working with the SIMPL tool or comparable synthesis software.
  • Proven ability to build reusable infrastructure and automation solutions.

Salary Range:

$99,900-$135,100 per year
