Full Job Description
Specific Responsibilities Would IncludeThe Buyer is responsible for driving business growth for Herve Leger through strategic assortment planning, sales forecasting, inventory management, and buying decisions. This role partners closely with Planning, Design, Production, and Retail teams to develop seasonal merchandise strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and inventory productivity while ensuring alignment with the Herve Leger brand vision.
  • Develop and execute customer-focused merchandise assortment strategies that support sales, margin, and inventory objectives.
  • Create seasonal assortment plans and line lists to ensure product offerings align with the Herve Leger brand aesthetic and business goals.
  • Analyze sales performance, fashion trends, customer behavior, and competitive intelligence to optimize assortments and identify growth opportunities.
  • Own seasonal buys and ensure assortments are balanced across categories, classifications, and channels.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Planning, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure the timely flow of product from development through delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Planning on Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, forecasting, and inventory planning.
  • Reforecast sales, inventory, and receipt plans as needed and integrate changes into OTB strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sell-through performance; develop action plans, including replenishment opportunities and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Generate and communicate weekly selling reports, identifying key business trends, risks, opportunities, and best-selling products.
  • Evaluate seasonal performance by store, category, and department, providing actionable recommendations to drive future growth.
  • Review weekly business results and recommend adjustments to financial and assortment plans as needed.
  • Partner with Planning and Merchandising teams to develop exit strategies and inventory aging standards.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify markdown candidates and execute timely promotional and clearance strategies.
  • Communicate promotional needs and product opportunities to senior leadership and the Creative team.
  • Provide weekly insights on best sellers, emerging trends, and product opportunities to support assortment and inventory decisions.

Salary Range: $78,400 - $98,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
