The Business Unit Systems Analyst, Product Delivery & Operational Readiness serves as a key connector between business strategy and technology in a fast-paced, enterprise environment. This role drives innovation, delivery excellence, and operational readiness by translating complex business needs into clear, execution-ready requirements while ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of critical digital platforms.

The analyst owns user story development, refinement, user acceptance testing, and release readiness to support high-quality, predictable deployments. With a strong focus on agility, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, the role supports the configuration, analytics, and maintenance of web-based systems and data platforms, while providing Tier 2 production support to quickly resolve issues and ensure system stability.

Success in this role relies on close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Operations, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver compliant, user-centric solutions that reduce risk, enhance customer experience, and enable sustainable growth.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
  • Own end-to-end user story creation for Product Manager-defined features, including scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Translate business features into sprint-ready stories while Product Management retains feature definition and prioritization.
  • Lead backlog refinement, resolve ambiguity, and align Product, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders prior to sprint commitment.
  • Maintain story readiness standards and refinement artifacts in Azure DevOps as the single source of truth.
  • Own UAT support and operational readiness for all production releases in partnership with BPM UAT and ITQA teams.
  • Triage UAT and QA defects, support release documentation, and provide validation evidence for go/no-go decisions.
  • Define, document, and validate configuration logic, mappings, feature flags, and setup for scalable solutions.
  • Support modernization and maintenance of systems, including migrations from legacy platforms.
  • Provide Tier 2 production support, resolving incidents tied to requirements or configuration gaps and supporting release readiness.
  • Participate in 24/7 production support oversight and continuous learning through emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools.

What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or Technical BSA roles within Agile delivery environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in owning user stories, backlog refinement, and defining clear acceptance criteria
  • Proven experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release readiness, and go/no-go decision processes
  • Hands-on experience with configuration-driven systems, including mappings, parameters, and feature flags
  • Advanced proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, refinement, and end-to-end traceability
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional facilitation skills with the ability to drive alignment

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  • Strong knowledge of departmental models, standards, and principles, with the ability to apply them to create clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate documentation
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role
  • 7 or more years of experience within insurance, mortgage, or financial services environments
  • At least 3 years of experience working with web-based software applications or documentation and workflow tools, including:
