- Supports Operations business units including Collections and Strategic Initiatives & Enablement, each with distinct risk profiles and regulatory requirements.
- Advises business partners on risk and control design, documentation, and implementation to ensure alignment with enterprise frameworks.
- Leads and supports execution of core risk and control activities, including RCSA, PRC, PSPRA, RCRA, and issue management.
- Partners with first-line (1A) stakeholders to update and maintain risk artifacts (processes, risks, controls, issues) in GRCE, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Interprets regulatory requirements and internal policies, identifying gaps and supporting development of remediation actions.
- Drives issue identification, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking in alignment with audit and regulatory expectations.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in governance, risk, and control frameworks, including regulatory compliance and control mapping.
- Builds strong relationships with business partners to reinforce accountability and ownership of risks and controls.
- Collaborates with second and third line partners to support audits, regulatory reviews, and effective challenge processes.
- Supports regulatory change initiatives by assessing impacts to processes and controls and coordinating required updates.
- Analyzes risk data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications- 5-7 years of experience in risk management, governance, compliance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and control frameworks and lifecycle activities.
- Experience working with risk management systems (e.g., GRCE) and managing risk artifacts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner with business teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Salary:$69,000.00 - $129,000.00
Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
