FibreFederal Credit Union is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to join ourteam and focus on growth in our Newport and Lincoln City communities. Thispivotal role makes an impact by helping our business members achieve theirfinancial goals.
Thisposition is Salary (Non-Exempt) plus Commission. Salary Range: $97,612.52 -$152,253.47
* The range above allows our employees room for growththrough annual merit and other pay increases based on performance. Thetarget pay range for this position is typically within the first half of therange. Compensation decisions are determined using factors such asrelevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individualqualifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Theprimary responsibility of the Business Relationship Manager is to sellfinancial products and develop and manage business relationships throughout theassigned Southern Oregon Coast Region. This position customarily and regularlysolicits prospective borrowers and supports business development, commerciallending growth, business deposit gathering, and relationship expansion byidentifying prospects, developing referral sources, coordinating qualifiedopportunities with internal partners, and representing the Credit Union in thelocal business community. This is an outside sales position which requiresregular off-site meetings and attendance at events to develop business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop, maintain, and execute aterritory business development plan for the assigned market, including targetedprospects, referral sources, centers of influence, community partners, callingactivity, pipeline tracking, and growth opportunities.
• Customarily and regularly promotes theCredit Union and solicits its lending products in the local community. Meetswith local businesses to promote lending products and builds and maintainsrelationships with existing business members, business professionals, communityorganizations, chambers, and other referral sources to support businessmembership, loan, and deposit growth. Activities include regularly attendingcommunity organization and chamber events and meeting with prospective membersin the community.
• Develop and maintain relationships withprospective business members to generate qualified lending, deposit, treasury,and business service opportunities.
• Source commercial lending opportunitiesand conduct initial borrower discovery, including business purpose, borrowingneed, collateral overview, repayment source, and preliminary financial/documentneeds.
• Coordinate with Commercial Services andlending partners to support loan application intake, borrower communication,documentation collection, underwriting handoff, closing coordination, andpost-closing follow-up.
• Promote business deposit growth byidentifying and referring opportunities for business checking, cash management,business online banking, ACH, merchant or partner referrals, and other depositor treasury-related services.
• Deepen existing business memberrelationships by identifying additional needs, coordinating internal referrals,supporting retention, and connecting members with appropriate Credit Unionsolutions.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records, callactivity, referral tracking, follow-up actions, and status updates to supportreporting, accountability, and performance management.
• Collaborate with branch, marketing,lending, deposit operations, treasury-related service partners, and otherdepartments to support coordinated market growth strategies.
• Maintain awareness of local businessconditions, competitor activity, market trends, and community developmentopportunities that may affect business growth in the assigned territory.
• Follow Credit Union policies, procedures,internal controls, member due diligence requirements, privacy expectations,BSA/AML responsibilities, fair lending principles, and applicable commerciallending and deposit-related requirements.
• Perform other job-related duties asassigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience - Five to eight years of similar or relatedexperience in business development, commercial lending, business banking,financial services relationship management, or a related field.
• Education - Bachelor's degree preferred, or achievement offormal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor'sdegree, or equivalent progressive experience.
• Sales and Relationship Development - Demonstrated abilityto identify prospects, make business development calls, develop referralrelationships, follow up on opportunities, and support measurable businessgrowth.
• Commercial Lending Knowledge - Working knowledge of memberbusiness lending concepts, commercial loan eligibility, business financialinformation, documentation needs, and commercial loan referral or applicationprocesses.
• Deposit Services Knowledge - Working knowledge of businessdeposit products and services, including business checking, online businessbanking, ACH, cash management or treasury-related services, and relatedreferral opportunities.
• Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personalcontact with others and may involve sensitive or confidential information. Therole requires the ability to develop relationships, maintain confidentiality,influence others, and promote Credit Union products and services in aprofessional manner.
• Quality of Communication - Must have strong verbal andwritten communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively withprospective members, existing members, business partners, community contacts,and internal staff.
• Planning/Organizing - Must possess strong organizationalskills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain accurate follow-up,and manage pipeline activity.
• Professionalism - Must represent the Credit Union in apositive, ethical, and professional manner in all internal and externalinteractions.
• Must be bondable.
