The Opportunity

WSP Global has an opening for a Business Partner, IT Finance, reporting to the Manager, Finance Partner IT. As a key member of the IT Finance team, the successful candidate will support assigned IT functions by providing financial analysis, performance reporting, and budgeting and forecasting support.

The role involves partnering with IT leaders and regional finance teams to analyze financial results, understand variances against budget and forecast, and help ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial information across the organization. The successful candidate will also support month-end activities, contribute to financial planning processes, and collaborate with stakeholders globally to address accounting and reporting matters.

This position is well suited for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys working with complex financial data, multiple systems, and a broad network of stakeholders.

Your Impact
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner for assigned IT functions, providing financial analysis and support to facilitate operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances against budget and forecast, and communicate key findings to IT leadership.
  • Collaborate with IT leaders throughout budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing financial guidance, analysis, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial analyses for assigned IT functions, helping stakeholders understand actual performance against budget and forecast.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports, analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support financial monitoring and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding accounting treatments, cost allocations, and financial governance to ensure accurate financial results.
  • Coordinate and support month-end close activities, including analysis, accrual reviews, and validation of results.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regional finance teams, IT leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and systems.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and highly collaborative environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business partnering, FP&A, or accounting.
  • CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial results and investigate variances.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently discuss financial results with business leaders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative global environment.
  • Bilingual (English and French) with strong written and verbal communication skills. The role supports stakeholders across multiple regions worldwide.
  • Experience working within large, complex, multinational organizations is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, Anaplan, HFM Hyperion, Power BI, or similar ERP and reporting systems is an asset.
  • Experience supporting IT functions or working in a technology-related environment is an asset.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to perform effectively during periods of increased workload and tight deadlines.


Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $89,800 - $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
