Job Overview
This is a sales position that is responsible for identifying and establishing new accounts while maintaining existing clients at Q1 Scientific (a Cambrex Company).
This role reports to the Director of U.S. Operations for Q1 Scientific.
Responsibilities
- Engage with new accounts across target industries.
- Lead the opportunity management process from initiation through to a signed contract.
- Continuously foster and maintain relationships with existing and prospective
- Connect with C-level and mid-management executives at target companies making a compelling case for Q1 Scientific and managing the sales cycle activities.
- Implement best practices for generating and maintaining the sales pipeline, keeping visibility to the sales forecast and ensuring appropriate opportunity
- Track and report progress using the CRM system and associated
- Record accurate and timely information about deal progress, timelines and contract close dates.
- Implement and use tools for lead
- Research target companies and industries for prospects that meet the ideal customer profile for Q1 Scientific. Responsible for initiating contact and securing face-to-face meetings.
- Represent Q1 Scientific at relevant conferences to market the Q1 brand, foster new connections and maintain existing connections. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure events deliver impactful results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure clear communication and a smooth transition from the sales process to execution.
- Adopt global communication practices across Q1 Scientific to ensure unified approach with target companies.
- Accountable for achieving sales and revenue targets
Qualifications/Skills
- Demonstrated success in opportunity development and closing deals, including prospecting, C-level presentation and consultative selling.
- Experienced in making a business case to senior decision-makers who are responsible for their company's innovation, revenue and growth.
- Salesforce experience a plus
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 6+ years of relevant experience in stability storage sales preferably within a CMDO and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in senior business development /account management
- Pharmaceutical, cold chain, supply chain B2B sales experience a plus.
Supervision Received: General SupervisionExercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May seek management direction for problems of diverse and/or complex scope.
