The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join HSF - National Sales. In this role, you will collaborate closely with hotel sales teams, National Sales, commercial stakeholders, owners, and operators to identify, qualify, and develop new business-to-business relationships on behalf of Hyatt. You will be instrumental in creating new customer demand, strengthening market penetration, supporting new-opening and conversion hotels, and continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role
The Business Development Manager provides oversight of new business development activity across assigned markets, segments, and hotel priorities. This includes prospect identification, preparation and review of account work, monthly and quarterly business development activity, and analytics across the prospecting function. Additional responsibilities include enhancing business development focus areas and participating in special initiatives and cross-functional projects that provide broad exposure across Hyatt's commercial function.
• Identify, qualify, and develop high-potential B2B accounts across assigned markets, industries, segments, and hotel priorities.
• Build account intelligence, including key contacts, buyer needs, travel patterns, sourcing behavior, competitive set, business potential, and next steps.
• Execute proactive prospecting plans using internal and external tools, market data, customer insights, and hotel priorities.
• Create new demand and secure Hyatt's inclusion in relevant group, transient, extended stay, project, and other sourcing opportunities.
• Support revenue generation for new-opening hotels, conversions, focus hotels, emerging markets, and the Essentials/select-service portfolio, as assigned.
• Engage customers through direct outreach, introductory presentations, market visits, networking events, sales blitzes, trade shows, and industry functions.
• Use analytics and market intelligence to prioritize activity, evaluate account potential, and identify higher-value opportunities.
• Partner with hotel sales teams, owners, operators, and internal stakeholders to align business development activity with hotel needs and commercial priorities.
• Document activity, account intelligence, referrals, and next steps in Hyatt systems with strong CRM discipline and follow-through.
• Manage qualified opportunities or newly developed accounts through appropriate transition to Hyatt Sales Force, National Account Team, Core Account Team, or hotel owner, as applicable.
• Participate in special initiatives and cross-functional projects that enhance business development focus areas and support broader National Sales priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
• 5+ years of hotel sales experience or equivalent business development, hospitality sales, or customer-facing commercial experience.
• Strong sales knowledge and proven business development experience within transient, group, and/or extended stay segments.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new B2B customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to evaluate account potential, prioritize activity, and connect customer needs to Hyatt solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, follow-up, and customer-facing storytelling skills.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, hotel teams, operators, owners, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organization, follow-through, productivity, and CRM discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote or distributed team environment.
Experience Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, Business, or a related field.
• Multiple hotel, brand, and market experience, including full-service and select-service hotels.
• Experience supporting new hotel openings, conversions, focus markets, or emerging markets.
• Extended stay business development experience.
• Knowledge of customer sourcing and booking tools such as Cvent, Cvent Transient, HopSkip, Concur, GetThere, Lanyon/RFP tools, or similar platforms.
• Experience with industry data tools such as Knowland, Amadeus Hotelligence, Agency360, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar resources.
• Experience with Hyatt's Envision sales software and/or other Hyatt commercial systems.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $78,500 - $100,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
