Position SummaryWe are hiring Business Development Manager in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Northern Indiana to drive sales growth and expand market share.
Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct targeted prospecting to identity clients, leveraging a variety of tolls such as LinkedIn, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry databases.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and opportunities to ensure continuous sales growth.
- Conduct sales calls and virtual meetings with prospective clients to present the company's products or services, answer inquiries, and understand their needs.
- Develop customized proposals and sales presentations to meet the specific needs of prospective clients.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through inside sales and business development activities.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients through consistent follow-up, communication, and a consultative approach.
- Understand the client's business needs and align the company's solutions to address those needs effectively.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging business opportunities.
- Analyze competitors' strategies and adapt tactics to differentiate the company's offerings.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, market conditions, and competitive landscape to help optimize sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, lead generation, and conversion rates to senior management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve performance.
Education & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or inside sales, preferably in Overhead Cranes.
- Proven track record of generating and closing sales, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to present complex solutions clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Ability Requirements- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to be mobile throughout facility to communicate with other departments.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for extended periods of time.
