Job Description:

Business Development Manager

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Canadian Business Development Manager, you will lead the effort to grow 3M sales into a focus group of fast-growing end-user customers by leveraging AAD resources and available sales programs and tools.

This role will be cross-functional and will require prioritization, execution, and an elevated level of collaboration across AAD teams. You will play a critical role in leading, developing & advancing our go-to market execution. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Responsible for delivering the divisional Operating Plan and Quota Contribution targets for Canada

  • Execute sales plans into assigned accounts based upon division priorities

  • Working collaboratively with Regional Senior Sales Managers, Zone Sales Managers, Collision Customer Specialists, Digital Collision Customer Specialists, Application Engineering, and AAD Marketing to secure business at identified mid-market accounts (MSO/LSO) across AAD collision segments.

  • Engage the entire value stream of AAD channel partners and paint companies for relationship development, program execution, pipeline creation, and closed won opportunities captured in Salesforce CRM

  • Execute market specific NPI’s into assigned accounts

  • Live 3M values and adhere to 3M Code of Conduct throughout the organization.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Five (5) years o of sales or business development experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • Current, valid driver6s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor6s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Track-record of new business development

  • Relationship builder with a competitive nature

  • Experience and comfort presenting to customer corner office executives

  • Well organized, self-starter, process driven, with the ability to prioritize

  • A deep level of collision industry and product knowledge

  • Cross-functional 3M experience (sales, channel)

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and PowerBi Reporting

Work location: Remote, Canada

Travel: May include up to50% domestic travel within the territory

Relocation Assistance:  May be authorized.

The expected compensation range for this position is $108,639 -$132,781

, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
