Full Job Description
As the Business Banking Client Manager, you will have a primary focus on managing a portfolio of Business Banking clients, expanding the relationship with UMB within the client portfolio and a secondary focus on new customer acquisition, primarily through leveraging client portfolio relationships and contacts. You will be responsible for a large-sized portfolio.

How you'll spend your time:

  • You will serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products. Always looking for cross selling opportunities for all bank products.


  • You will grow revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting new business within portfolio and making appropriate referrals.


  • You will maintain a portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand existing business, ensure excellent client relations & proper servicing of account(s), and ensure the portfolio's credit quality.


  • You will negotiate credit arrangements and prepare credit memoranda and supporting documentation with underwriting for presentation to approvers.


  • You will continuously monitor borrowing base reports and covenant compliance with regular reporting requirements for client base. Establish protocols and maintain tracking of documentation exceptions, past dues, field exams, borrowing base reports and covenant exceptions.


  • You will recognize and manage early warning signs for client portfolio on a recurring basis, which may include but are not limited to the following: analyze borrower/guarantor financial performance upon receipt of reporting requirements, either monthly, quarterly or annually. Fully analyze and confirm borrowing base and financial covenant compliance, analyze payment performance benchmarks and perform regular financial reviews.


  • You will provide recurring customer service to existing clients, which includes direct contact with customers and an emphasis on maintaining UMB TUCE at all times.


  • You will file all required reports, and resolve all related issues in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Other duties as assigned.

  • You demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.


  • You have ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.


Bonus points if:

  • You have knowledge of lending products & cross selling of treasury management products.

Compensation Range:
$98,208 - $144,705
