We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team in New York City, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in banking technology, business analysis, and project delivery, who is also fluent in English and Japanese. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Core Banking, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, and Payments, along with hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

The role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders across the US/Europe and Tokyo Head Office, with responsibility for translating business requirements into technology solutions and coordinating cross-regional banking initiatives. Fluency in both English and Japanese is essential.

Day to Day Job Duties
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Core Banking and Transaction Banking initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility analysis for new initiatives and system enhancements.
  • Analyze impacts of system changes, upgrades, and integrations across upstream and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, operations, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate in English and Japanese with stakeholders across the US/Europe and Tokyo Head Office to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate cross-regional programs related to Global Settlement functions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and coordination related to DDA balance file transfers.
  • Support system integration initiatives involving APIs, interfaces, data flows, and file transfers.
  • Perform data analysis and validation using SQL.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, backlog management, UAT, and project delivery activities.
  • Manage multiple initiatives across regions while tracking risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.


Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Project Management within Banking or Financial Services.
  • 7+ years of experience working with Core Banking, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, or Payments platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering, functional analysis, system integration, and cross-functional project delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, data analysis, APIs, interfaces, and upstream/downstream system integration.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese are required.


Nice to Have
  • Strong understanding of Transaction Banking, Payments, Cash Management, and Core Banking products and processes.
  • Experience with Global Settlement functions and DDA-related processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and UAT documentation.
  • Strong understanding of banking system integrations, APIs, interfaces, and data flows.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects across the US, Europe, and Japan.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects across geographically distributed teams.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for US-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $127,890-$170,520. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
