Position Description: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a large scale government enterprise financial management system. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with financial data, and partnering closely with clients and technical teams. The analyst will play a key role in helping our federal client improve financial operations through clear requirements, thoughtful analysis, and disciplined testing.
This position is located in Washington, D.C..
Your future duties and responsibilities: Your future duties and responsibilities:
Perform financial reconciliation activities across modules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability of financial data.
Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes impacting financial processing.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable specifications.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria to validate system functionality and enhancements.
Support defect triage, resolution tracking, and coordination across functional and technical teams.
Collaborate closely with client stakeholders through meetings, working sessions, demonstrations, and status updates.
Prepare clear documentation including requirements, process flows, test results, job aids, and financial workflows.
Assist with production support tasks, including troubleshooting, ticket analysis, data validation, and user guidance.
Contribute to continuous process improvement across the financial system lifecycle.
Work in alignment with FRMS processes and program expectations to support efficient delivery.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Experience supporting financial or ERP systems, ideally within government or regulated environments.
Strong financial reconciliation skills with an understanding of financial data structures and accounting concepts.
Ability to perform thorough data analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL queries, or system embedded reporting tools.
Hands on experience developing requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
Experience with functional testing, UAT support, and structured defect management processes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently with clients, SMEs, and cross functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment.
Ability to translate business needs into clear system requirements and collaborate with developers and testers.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Momentum Financials experience.
Experience supporting federal financial management, budget execution, procurement, or accounting systems.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, user story writing, and participation in sprint ceremonies.
Experience with FRMS internal processes, templates, or workflow steps.
Exposure to helpdesk or production support environments.
Background in generating financial or operational reporting.
Knowledge of federal financial regulations or transaction lifecycle concepts (e.g., obligations, accruals, approvals).

To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 $153,300.00.
