Pay scale: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Business Intelligence Analyst to support strategic decision-making across Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership. A candidate with a data analytics degree would be best suited for this position.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions, dashboards, data models, and business analytics that provide actionable insights into company performance. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology, translating business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions.

The position requires strong experience with Power BI, SQL, data modeling, business process analysis, and enterprise systems. The successful candidate will work independently while managing multiple projects and supporting users across the organization.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Partner with department leaders to understand business objectives, identify challenges, and gather requirements for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and business performance.
  • Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT), solution validation, and implementation activities.
  • Manage multiple business and technology initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and implement process improvements and best practices.

Systems & Data Management
  • Support and enhance business applications, reporting solutions, and integrations across ERP, payroll, HRIS, CRM, and operational systems.
  • Work with internal IT teams and external vendors to troubleshoot system, data, integration, and reporting issues.
  • Assist with system upgrades, implementations, testing, and process automation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation, report specifications, system documentation, and user guides.
  • Ensure data integrity through validation procedures, audits, and ongoing monitoring of critical business data.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and executive-level reports.
  • Monitor and maintain SQL queries, data models, and reporting datasets to support business reporting needs.
  • Analyze operational, financial, sales, payroll, inventory, and customer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions that improve visibility and reduce manual effort.
  • Translate complex data and analytical findings into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations.

Project Management & User Support
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
  • Provide ongoing support for business systems, reporting solutions, and analytics tools.
  • Conduct user training sessions and develop training materials as needed.
  • Communicate project status, priorities, timelines, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support change management efforts and promote user adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business users by helping them effectively leverage systems, data, and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

Citizenship - US citizen preferred. Will consider work visa candidate.

Education - Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field

Experience :
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Analysis, or related roles.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI platforms.
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience working with ERP (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central), CRM, HRIS (UKG preferred), or operational business systems.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and working directly with stakeholders.

  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Microsoft Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
  • Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Query Development
  • Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Advanced Formulas, Data Analysis, and Data Validation)

  • SSRS and Paginated Reporting (Preferred)
  • ETL Processes, Data Integration, and Data Transformation
  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems and reporting solutions

Job Type: Full-time (in person near Downtown Los Angeles 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week)
