Position OverviewAs a Business Experience & Planning Advisor within PNC's Strategy & Planning organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
This role will provide dedicated support across administrative analytics, financial metric development, and general ledger transaction analysis. You will play a critical role in enabling proactive insights, improved portfolio transparency, and stronger decision-making across multiple technology organizations.
This position requires an analytical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and can partner effectively with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial dashboards, metric sets, and reporting packages for technology portfolio performance.
• Conduct general ledger transaction analysis and variance reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial plans.
• Run portfolio-level financial tracking, ensuring visibility into approved spend, remaining funds, and forecasted needs.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
• Support ongoing portfolio management activities across all technology businesses.
• Create management-ready reports and insights that support strategic planning, forecasting, and executive presentations.
• Maintain tracking mechanisms for approvals, budget updates, and portfolio changes.
• Use advanced Excel functions to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data.
• Ensure data integrity across multiple sources and inputs.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders across several technology organizations.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership, translating analytical findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Build strong interpersonal relationships to support alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial datasets.
• Excellent Excel skills: VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIF, advanced formulas, etc.
• Experience supporting financial or portfolio analytics within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to or supporting senior leadership.
• Ability to adapt quickly, shift priorities, and operate effectively without relying on rigid checklists.
• Familiarity with budgeting tools, reporting systems, or general ledger modules.
• Prior work supporting large, multi-stakeholder organizations.
