Full Job Description
About You

You're a writer first. You can take something complex and make it click, and you know how to say it three different ways for three different audiences.

You learn fast. Hand you a new product area on Monday and by Friday you're writing about it like you've been here a year. You care about the craft: the right verb, the tight headline, the sentence that does the work of a paragraph. You like working across teams, moving fast, and seeing your words show up everywhere from the homepage to the event stage.

Anyone can generate average writing now. We sell to people who do not read average writing: CPOs, CFOs, and procurement leaders at some of the largest companies in the world. Reaching them takes a real writer.

Levelpath ships a lot of words: launch announcements, campaign copy, event keynotes, customer stories, and sales materials. Every one of those words teaches the market what to expect from us. We are hiring the person all of those words go through.

This is a writer-editor hybrid. Some days you are finding the narrative inside a product brief as it is being developed and drafting the launch story. Other days you are cutting a founder's voice memo into a sharp point of view, tightening a landing page an hour before it goes live, or making sure our newsletter actually gets read. You move fluidly between big-picture storytelling, developmental editing, and line-level polish. You are the last set of eyes on everything we publish, and the standard everything gets measured against.

You will report to the Head of Marketing and work directly with our founders, marketers, product, and go-to-market team.

What You'll Do
  • Write across every format. Web copy, blog posts, product launches, campaign copy, emails, video scripts, event materials, and sales collateral. Long form and short form.
  • Edit everything that ships. Hold a high bar on clarity, accuracy, and voice. Move from shaping an argument, to restructuring a draft, to line editing a single sentence. Everything Levelpath publishes should sound like Levelpath published it.
  • Own the voice. Evolve and maintain our style guide, and make the writers around you (founders, marketers, sales) measurably better through your edits.
  • Turn expert thinking into publishable work. Help founders and customers get their ideas organized, sharpened, and polished for the audiences that matter: CPOs, CFOs, and procurement leaders at large enterprises.
  • Find the story. Procurement is dense, technical, and full of ambiguity. You pull clear, human narratives out of that material and make readers care.
  • Build a following. Great writing that nobody reads does not move a company. You write pieces people share, subscribe to, and come back for, and you grow Levelpath's audience post by post.
  • Move fast. When the right idea hits at the right moment, you can produce great copy in minutes, not days.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 3-5 years of professional writing and editing experience, with a portfolio of published work that shows exceptional command of language.
  • Range. You can shift from an executive one-pager to a booth headline to a 2,000-word narrative, and each sounds native to its format.
  • An editor's judgment. You know when to push a draft hard and when to let the author's voice come through, and you have a clear perspective on which rules of grammar and style you break and when.
  • You explain complex topics simply. B2B software, procurement, finance, or another technical domain does not scare you; it interests you.
  • Your writing has earned an audience. A newsletter people actually open, a LinkedIn or X presence that grew because of what you wrote, a blog readers return to, or bylines that got shared beyond your own network.
  • A proven eye for narrative in messy, ambiguous, or highly technical material.
  • You use AI tools fluently and can articulate exactly where they fit in your workflow, and where they do not.
  • Ownership. You take projects from idea through execution without waiting to be asked.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or procurement.
  • Familiarity with SEO or answer engine optimization and content performance measurement.
  • Basic design sensibility or video editing skills.

With your application, include up to 3 writing samples that show your range and links to anywhere your writing has built an audience.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Where a candidate lands in the range depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Benefits
  • 100% Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO, Parental Leave, Sick Leave
  • Competitive compensation and equity package
  • 401k
  • Commuter benefits
  • In-office snacks and Friday team lunches
  • Team-driven happy hours and celebrations
