Full Job Description
Description & Requirements

You would be part of an expanding team responsible for conducting analysis on a periodic and topical basis, and authoring equity research on companies within North America's retail staples sectors, including grocery, convenience stores, warehouse clubs and value retail. You are entrusted to deliver high quality and timely content while also growing our data offering and producing deep thematic research on the key trends shaping the industries.

We'll trust you to:
• Leverage your knowledge of retail staples sectors.
• Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting the industries.
• Conduct deep thematic research on structural trends, competitive dynamics and changing consumer behavior.
• Build and maintain financial, operating and scenario models to assess company performance, key sensitivities and expectations.
• Manage earnings cycle, including previews and reviews.
• Work closely with our global team of Bloomberg Intelligence analysts and strategists located across major financial centers to coordinate and collaborate on analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with investors, industry and market professionals, investor relations personnel, and senior management at target companies.
• Work with Global Data teams to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new data sets of target companies.

You need to have:
• A minimum of 4 years of equity research experience, specializing in consumer, retail or related sectors.
• Sell-side or buy-side Research Analyst or Senior Associate experience preferred.
• Experience interpreting financial statements, building financial models and performing quantitative financial analysis.
• Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting.
• Ability to develop differentiated thematic research and translate industry and company data into investment-relevant conclusions.
• Exceptional primary research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player.
• Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

We'd love to see:
• Direct experience covering grocery, convenience stores, warehouse clubs, value retail or consumer staples.
• CFA designation is preferred.

Salary Range = 150,000 - 210,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
