Job Description

Provide support to the Capital Markets team with respect to syndication, structuring and investor relationship management activities for the Credit & Insurance business (“BXCI”).  Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Quarterback the co-invest syndication process, which includes preparing the syndication strategy, outreach plan, investor coordination, investor diligence and materials, and deal tracking
  • Understand BXCI and cross-firm co-invest vehicles, and work with tax and legal teams to create new vehicles where needed
  • Maintain coverage (or secondary coverage) responsibilities for certain LPs and third-party investors
  • Prepare materials for debt investors, banks, co-invest clients, rating agencies, fund boards, and internal committees
  • Ensure timely responses on deals and coordinate cross-strategy processes internally, including interfacing with deal teams, legal, operations, compliance, finance, and tax professionals
  • Assist with ongoing organization of team project pipeline, ensuring opportunities, materials, and timelines are clearly tracked and accessible
  • Collaborate with internal BX teams to design and implement AI-enabled tools, embedding AI into day-to-day workflows and leading internal efforts to drive adoption and innovation
  • Provide general support to the capital markets and syndication functions of BXCI

Qualifications               

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, have sound judgement, are intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience, ideally working at an investment bank, private equity, credit asset manager, or consulting firm. Experience in debt capital markets, credit investing, and/or structured finance/ABF markets are preferred (experience in Infrastructure is a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, financial analysis, modeling, data management, and presentation skills
  • Experience driving processes and workflow independently while also being a strong team player
  • Motivation in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency, enhance data analysis, and reduce operational errors
  • A high degree of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive “can do” attitude and willingness to flex across team to help wherever needed
  • Critical thinking skills, including identifying trends and insights from raw data sets
  • Experienced in handling multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and manage both internal and external business relationships
  • Undergraduate degree is required

Expected annual base salary range:

$150,000 - $215,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
