Role Overview
The Azure Infrastructure Solution Architect focuses on designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions on Azure. This role often works from existing high-level architecture diagrams and transforms them into detailed infrastructure designs.
Key Responsibilities
• Design Azure infrastructure including networking, compute, and storage solutions.
• Translate high-level architecture diagrams into detailed infrastructure designs.
• Define virtual network architecture, connectivity (VPN/ExpressRoute), and security.
• Design identity and access management strategies (Azure AD, RBAC).
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Select appropriate IaaS services (VMs, Scale Sets, Load Balancers, Storage).
• Ensure compliance with governance, policies, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with solution architects and operations teams.
Required Skills
• Strong expertise in Azure IaaS services and networking.
• Experience with Azure networking (VNet, NSG, Firewall, DNS).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks.
• Understanding of hybrid cloud e nvironments.
• Ability to interpret and extend existing architecture designs.
