Full Job Description
Job Overview:

LPL is seeking a results-driven, adaptable Assistant Vice President to support Service strategy and conversions within the Service organization. In this role, you will partner closely with the Vice President and senior leaders to drive high-impact strategic initiatives and support the design, readiness, and execution of Service models for acquisitions, advisor transitions, and other business integrations.

This individual will play a central role in translating Service strategy into action, improving the quality and efficiency of decision-making, and ensuring execution against key priorities. The role will also help prepare the Service organization for future conversions by coordinating cross-functional readiness, identifying risks and dependencies, and supporting conversion execution and post-conversion stabilization.

Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, foster cross-functional relationships, and consistently deliver results that improve the advisor experience and strengthen the performance and scalability of the broader Service organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Service leadership to define, refine, and drive the long-term strategy for Service.
  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives that improve Service capabilities, advisor experience, operational effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Develop strategic business cases, future-state operating models, implementation roadmaps, and executive-ready recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Analyze industry and business trends, performance data, advisor feedback, and enterprise priorities to inform strategic direction.
  • Conduct structured problem solving to uncover insights, evaluate options, and shape recommendations that improve execution and business outcomes.
  • Act as a thought partner to department heads and frontline leaders to translate strategy into clear, measurable actions.
  • Lead or support Service planning for acquisitions, advisor transitions, and other strategic business integrations.
  • Design scalable Service support models for conversions, including support channels, roles and responsibilities, escalation paths, staffing considerations, and post-conversion support approaches.
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness across Service, Business Transitions, Operations, Technology, Product, Workforce Management, Learning & Development, Knowledge Management, Risk, Compliance, and other partner teams.
  • Identify conversion risks, dependencies, capacity impacts, and decision points; develop mitigation plans and elevate matters requiring leadership action.
  • Support conversion execution and post-conversion stabilization through issue management, performance monitoring, stakeholder updates, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable conversion playbooks, frameworks, governance practices, and lessons learned to improve readiness for future acquisitions.
  • Drive executive reporting by shaping narratives, preparing materials, and ensuring leadership is informed on strategic priorities, conversion readiness, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment to establish clear priorities, ownership, milestones, and dependencies across strategic initiatives and conversion workstreams.
  • Support implementation and adoption of key initiatives and conversion changes through structured change management, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide direction and coaching to project teams and individual contributors, creating clarity and accountability in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, and strong ownership across the Service Strategy and Conversions portfolio.

  • 3+ years of experience with PowerPoint and the ability to consolidate complex information into a cohesive and coherent story.
  • 3+ years of experience with analytics and reporting, including the ability to interpret metrics, identify patterns, and synthesize insights from key performance indicators.
