What you’ll be doing...
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Functional Analytics is a high-impact, executive leadership role within the Strategic Analytics & Modeling organization. Operating out of the Transformation Command Center (TCC), this role is responsible for orchestrating enterprise-grade strategic analytics and modeling that directly fuel growth, optimize massive capital expenditure, and drive operational efficiency.
This consolidated organization unifies three critical data science functions and expands support across multiple corporate and technology domains:
Network Planning, Performance, & Engineering Analytics
Network Capital Management & Investment Optimization
Market & Competitive Intelligence Analytics
Global Real Estate (GRE), Fleet, Sourcing, and Supply Chain Analytics
The AVP will command a talent pool of Data Scientists and advanced analytical professionals, leading efforts to bridge complex operational data with corporate financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Cross-Domain Integration
Enterprise Synergy: Synchronize previously siloed analytics workstreams across Network, Supply Chain, and GRE to deliver holistic, data-driven strategic outcomes.
Operational-to-Financial Linkage: Map network performance, operational metrics, and supply chain drivers directly to corporate financial indicators (such as CLV, cash flow, and asset monetization margin).
Transformation Support: Act as a critical advisor to the TCC executive leadership and cross-functional "Tiger Teams," providing evidence-based foresight and predictive intelligence to reduce the cycle time between data observation and strategic execution.
Domain-Specific Oversight
Customer Experience & Network Performance: Deep experience in analyzing Customer Experience (CX) data, Network Quality of Experience (QES) metrics, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) performance data to drive strategic business outcomes and reduce churn.
Large-Scale Transformation: Proven expertise in leading large-scale transformation initiatives specifically focused on supply chain optimization, network decommissioning (decom) and rationalization strategies, and global real estate portfolio management.
Network Capital & Intelligence: Direct the integration of competitor quality experience data and market site locations with internal total cost of ownership (TCO) models. Ensure capital investment is surgically allocated to high-value geographic areas for mobility and 5G Home growth.
Operational Optimization (GRE & Fleet): Lead predictive modeling for Global Real Estate consolidation, warehouse network optimization, and fleet right-sizing to drive substantial OpEx savings.
Sourcing & Supply Chain Efficiency: Deliver advanced spend analytics, cost simulation modeling, and value-leakage identification to revamp procurement and streamline the end-to-end supply chain ecosystem.
AI Innovation & Talent Management
AI-First Transformation: Collaborate closely with technology and network architecture executives to deploy automated business intelligence (AutoBI), generative AI, and semantic modeling frameworks.
Global Talent Development: Provide executive leadership to a matrixed onshore and offshore technical footprint, focusing on upskilling team members in agile insight-to-action modeling and advanced machine learning.

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, or a related highly quantitative field.
12+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large, high-performing technical teams (Data Scientists, Quantitative Analysts, and AI Engineers), preferably in a matrixed enterprise environment.
Proven track record of delivering analytics solutions within at least two of the following domains: network infrastructure/engineering, capital optimization, supply chain management, or global real estate asset tracking.
Demonstrated mastery of advanced statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and linking operational performance data to corporate financial outcomes.
Exceptional ability to craft compelling narratives from complex data and comfortably present strategic insights to C-suite and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong background in a dedicated Strategic Analytics or Transformation Office function, with a focus on delivering macro-level business recommendations rather than just static reporting.
An MBA or higher degree (e.g., Master’s or Ph.D. in an engineering, business, or quantitative discipline) is highly preferred to bridge technical data science with business strategy.
Direct experience deploying Generative AI, natural language conversational analytics, or automated workflow platforms to achieve massive efficiency gains within an analytics function.
