Why This Role Is ValuableThe AVP, Data Program Management will lead global data initiatives across multiple portfolio companies, Revantage, and Blackstone to build a unified global data platform. This leader will partner with senior technologists, executives, and program leaders across Blackstone and its portfolio to set direction, remove roadblocks, and establish enterprise-level governance. The AVP will own the design, build-out, and ongoing operation of the Program Management Office (PMO). They will also be accountable for global program oversight and delivery.
How You Add Value- Own end-to-end delivery of global programs. Define scope, deliverables, governance frameworks, and decision gates to reduce risk and meet strategic goals.
- Shape and own the global program strategy, including objectives, KPIs, and a multi-year roadmap. Present progress and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build and lead the PMO, including its operating model, standards, methods, tools, and reporting cadence across the portfolio.
- Serve as the main point of contact for executive stakeholders across business, technology, and third-party partners. Drive alignment and accountability, and resolve competing priorities.
- Lead, coach, and develop project managers and cross-functional teams. Build a culture of high performance, collaboration, and clear communication.
- Anticipate cross-program risks, dependencies, and issues, and escalate and resolve them in a timely, structured way.
- Own program financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Give stakeholders and leadership clear visibility into cost and ROI.
- Champion continuous improvement and change management so new processes and platforms are adopted and last.
What You Bring To The Role- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- 8+ years of project or program management experience in a technology organization, including 3+ years leading large-scale, complex, or global programs
- Proven experience building or scaling a PMO or managing a program portfolio
- Experience leading and developing teams, either directly or in a matrixed structure
- Strong understanding of agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery methods, and when to use each
- Advanced knowledge of project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, Clarity, Smartsheet, Wrike, Airtable, or Primavera
- Track record in process optimization, change management, and standardization across multiple business units
- Strong executive presence, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership
Preferred- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or other relevant program management certifications
- Experience with data platform, data governance, or enterprise data initiatives
- Experience in private equity, real estate, or multi-entity portfolio environments
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Confluence
- Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
Base Compensation Range:$127,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company's base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Total Direct Compensation:
This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
