Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands on experience in test automation framework design and development. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Java or Python, experience with modern automation frameworks, and a solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and CI/CD practices.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, developing automated test scripts, executing regression testing, analyzing test results, and driving quality improvements across automation design, development, and execution. Experience leveraging AI tools such as Copilot and Cursor for test automation and code generation is also desired.

Required Skills
• 5 to 7 years of experience in test automation framework design and development
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar programming languages
• Hands on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber/BDD, and REST Assured
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor for test automation and code generation
• Experience with Git version control systems such as Bitbucket and GitHub
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of SQL for test data management and database validation
• Strong understanding of automated testing practices and framework development
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills
• Strong experience with Java, Selenium, and Maven
• Experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks
• Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, and GitHub
• Experience with Jira and JAMA
• Experience working with enterprise scale automation frameworks
• Experience incorporating AI assisted development practices into test automation

Key Responsibilities
• Design and build scalable automation frameworks and comprehensive automated test suites
• Develop, maintain, and debug automated test scripts
• Execute automated regression testing and analyze test results
• Add new automated scripts to existing automation suites
• Analyze automation execution results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
• Drive continuous quality improvements across automation design, development, and execution
• Participate in automation scripting planning and execution activities
• Develop reusable and maintainable automation components
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development, QA, and technical teams to identify and resolve quality issues
• Track and manage defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• Use SQL to support test data management and database validation
• Leverage AI assisted development tools such as Copilot and Cursor to improve automation productivity and code quality
• Maintain automation documentation and testing standards
• Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks and testing processes

Education Requirement
• Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
