We are currently hiring Automation System Administrator for our new site in Concord, NC

Position Description:

Our new Concord facility will be one of Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing sites and will include robotic technologies, integrated OT and IT technologies, and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will result in safety improvements, increased productivity, and variability reduction. 

As Automation Systems Administrator you will provide engineering, data, integration and security for the implementation and management of these Platform and Data related systems and related technologies, Lilly’s OT/IT integration layer, and end-point cyber security solutions.

Key Objectives/Deliverables: 

  • Partner with Corporate Automation, Automation Integrators, and Global Facilities Delivery to design, install and qualify the site Platform and Data related systems and related technologies, Lilly’s OT/IT integration layer, and end-point cyber security solutions
  • System Administration ownership and management of these platforms during the delivery phase and post-delivery including user access controls, automated alarm management, data management, and system maintenance, including process improvements and life cycle management
  • Manage and own the system security including data integrity
  • Develop site procedures that will govern Platform and related data systems
  • Lead the management and growth of the platforms and data related systems as new process systems are added to the facility, partnering with manufacturing process teams and other site groups.
  • Support of the 24/7 manufacturing process teams and other site groups in the interaction with Platform and Data related systems and related technologies, Lilly’s OT/IT integration layer, and end-point cyber security solutions
  • Partner with Corporate Automation, Information Technology, and Information Security for global initiatives (including advanced data programs and cyber security) and life cycle management
  • Perform audits and periodic assessments of the systems to ensure compliance with Global Quality and Engineering Standards

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related science/technical field
  • Experience in Automation, Process Control, or Platform System Administration
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required)

  • 5+ years experience in automation or process control
  • 2+ years experience in automation platform system administration.
  • Core knowledge related to ISE S95 and S88 principles and IT/Automation integration.
  • Experience in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View SE HMI Platforms or related technology.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC’s and other related automation technologies.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP industry.
  • Experience working with validated systems.
  • Experience in managing IT/OT platforms.
  • Experience in Microsoft operating systems, virtual environments, and networking.
  • Experience in databases and visualization.
  • Experience in OSI/PI Data Historians

Additional Information 

  • This position will be based out of our Concord site (North Carolina), however, a short-term assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana may be required.
  • Schedule - 8 hour days - Monday through Friday, overtime and some weekend/holiday may be required for project support.
  • Travel - Domestic and International travel may be required (10%) 

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$66,000 - $171,600


Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
