Full Job Description
The role of Audiovisual Support Supervisor will be dedicated to one of our key Enterprise customers. In this senior-level role, you lead and manage a team of AV technicians and engineers. This supervisory role requires a deep understanding of audiovisual technology, along with strong leadership skills to ensure seamless delivery of AV services across the organization.

What You'll be Doing:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Audiovisual Support Supervisor to join our technical support team. This role will oversee daily operations, project execution, troubleshooting escalations, and training, while working closely with other departments to ensure optimal system performance and end-user satisfaction.

What You Bring to Assure Success:
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise and lead a team of AV technicians and engineers (Levels 1-3). Provide coaching, performance reviews, and mentorship to develop their technical skills and ensure operational excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily AV support operations, ensuring timely and efficient setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV systems for meetings, events, and other organizational needs.
  • Project Management: Manage large-scale AV projects, including system upgrades, new installations, and complex event setups. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalation Management: Serve as the highest point of escalation for complex technical issues. Provide hands-on support and expertise to resolve critical AV system failures or performance issues.
  • Resource Planning & Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate AV support coverage for meetings, events, and ongoing technical support.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders, event coordinators, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure AV systems align with organizational needs and standards.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs for AV staff, end users, and other departments to ensure effective use and maintenance of AV systems. Promote continuous learning and certification among the AV team.
  • System Monitoring & Maintenance: Establish preventive maintenance programs to ensure AV systems are functioning optimally. Proactively monitor system performance and implement solutions to mitigate downtime.
  • Budget Management: Assist the AV Manager in managing the budget for AV services, including procurement of equipment, software, and services. Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend investments in new technologies.
  • Vendor & Equipment Management: Liaise with AV equipment vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance. Oversee the procurement and inventory of AV equipment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all AV systems and processes are documented, including configuration details, troubleshooting guides, and project plans. Generate reports on system performance, technician efficiency, and project outcomes.
  • Stay Current with Technology Trends: Keep up to date with advancements in AV technology, recommending new tools, systems, and processes that can improve service delivery and system performance.


Essential Proficiencies & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in AV technology, IT, engineering, or a related field. Advanced AV certifications (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in AV support, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven experience managing a team and handling complex AV setups and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in AV system design, configuration, and troubleshooting, including AV-over-IP technologies, video conferencing systems, and control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX).
  • Strong knowledge of networked AV systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and complex video/audio routing systems.
  • Proficiency in event management technologies and AV system integration with IT infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience in leading AV projects from planning to execution, with a focus on technical quality and user experience.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
