What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Montréal Uptown branch is seeking an experienced individual to join a high-performing team. In this role, you will work closely with the portfolio managers to deliver high-quality and comprehensive financial planning to high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.

You will play a key role in integrating financial planning into the core client experience - helping clients make informed decisions across retirement, tax, estate, insurance, and wealth transfer planning.

The ideal candidate will be a natural relationship manager with a financial planning background who enjoys working directly with clients and who thrives in a collaborative environment.

What will you do?
  • Deliver comprehensive financial plans, including retirement, estate, charitable, and business succession planning
  • Prepare wealth projections and modeling using firm tools to support client objectives
  • Attend client meetings with advisors, help translate complex planning concepts into actionable strategies
  • Identify opportunities for asset consolidation, referrals, and planning improvements within the client base
  • Partner with portfolio managers to integrate financial planning into the core client experience
  • Coordinate with internal specialists, external advisors, and centres of influence (COI)
  • Ensure smooth execution of client strategies, from meeting preparation to post-meeting follow-ups
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial planning best practices, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Support team development by sharing insights, planning tools, and best practices


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning or wealth management
  • Financial planner diploma granted by the Institute of Financial Planning
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail skills
  • High client service orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with business applications, including Microsoft 365 Apps


Nice-to-have
  • Registered Representative (RR) with CIRO
  • Master of Taxation (M.Tax.) and/or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
