What You'll Do
  • Innovation & Testing: Identify opportunities for testing and innovation in media strategy, collaborating with IS counterparts to implement.
  • Campaign Oversight: Assume oversight of campaign management teams, providing quality assurance, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Presentations: Apply storytelling techniques to presentations, adapting fluidly to adjust strategies in real-time.
  • Media Insights: Provide deep insights into media performance, proactively managing brand impact, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Project Management: Manage media team scope on projects, flagging potential overages and organizing teams accordingly.
  • Process Optimization: Define and adjust processes for new tools and technologies as required.
  • Research Utilization: Regularly leverage research from media tools to propose and defend innovative ideas.
  • Digital Expertise: Demonstrate understanding of digital, social, and emerging platforms and technologies.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Initiate discussions with partners to influence product roadmaps and capabilities.
  • Relationship Building: Establish relationships with IS leads, department leads, client leads, and vendor leads to enhance collaboration and client service.
  • Data Expertise: Differentiate between 2nd and 3rd party data sets, applying them appropriately to media strategies.
Team Management and Mentorship
  • Leadership Skills: Lead by example, maintaining composure and professionalism in challenging situations, serving as a role model for junior team members.
  • Training & Development: Educate and mentor junior team members on media tools and strategies, fostering their growth and skills development.
  • Hire, Coach, and Develop Team Members: Assign projects to balance workloads and challenge team members' skills, ensuring projects showcase the agency's capabilities.
  • Provide Regular Feedback: Offer both formal and informal feedback to direct reports to help grow their creative sensibilities and progress in their craft.
  • Perform Team Evaluations: Participate in performance reviews for any direct reports and provide coaching to create growth plans for team members as needed.
  • Team Motivation: Foster team motivation and maintain a positive attitude that inspires others
  • Infuse Psychological Safety into Teams: Facilitate participation, inclusion, and diversity of perspectives on your team and throughout the agency

Compensation Range: $115,000 - $130,000. The starting salary offer will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. The company reserves the right to adjust this pay range at any time.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to be onsite Tuesday-Thursday each week in our Chicago office. We make reasonable accommodations for employees and applicants with disabilities who require schedule accommodations.
