Overview

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position supports all lending and credit aspects for both Venture Capital and Private Equity client relationships. Core responsibility is to support the due diligence, deal structuring, underwriting, approval and closing process and manage loan compliance processes and performance with all Portfolio Management monitoring procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Stakeholder Engagement Support - Builds relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. Provides direct support to assigned portfolio of clients on loan related items.
  • Portfolio Management - Supports the Portfolio Managers in the successful end-to-end process on all loans, including the structuring, underwriting, and closing of all lending solutions for assigned portfolio of clients. Growing experience in underwriting renewals and new loan originations. Builds structuring and underwriting analysis skills through increased independence on tasks.
  • Portfolio Operations - Helps in managing the end-to-end loan compliance process including client interactions. Attains proficiency in all Portfolio Management procedures and demonstrates ability to complete all related tasks independently
  • Team Collaboration - Collaborates effectively with all colleagues

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in Portfolio Management or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in Portfolio Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis and accounting
  • Able to contact established clients, under guidance from the Director/MD or Vice President, and have the ability to become responsible for all lending aspects related to a small group of client relationships.
  • Excel in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to lead simultaneous assignments and produce results in time-sensitive circumstances.
  • Ability to take ownership of and drive processes, but also knows when to escalate or engage others
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Skilled at analyzing data to support and improve business decisions


If hired in IL, the base pay for this position is generally between $90,000 - 93,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
