Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze designs and develop basic analog and digital circuits under the direction of an experienced engineer.
- Conduct hardware design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness.
- Assist in the development of hardware specifications.
- Write test plans, execute tests, and document test results for use at peer design reviews and for project notebooks.
- Develop knowledge of SEL engineering processes.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- Provide work estimates to support project planning.
- Understand. Create. Simplify.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
-- Analog circuit design, analysis, and simulation
-- Digital circuit design, analysis, and simulation
-- Power supply design, analysis, and simulation
-- Microprocessor and FPGA system design
-- Ethernet and fiber optic communications interface design
-- Electromagnetic compatibility and standards compliance experience
-- Hands on experience with prototyping
-- PCB layout experience
-- Basic understanding of project management processes and procedures
-- Digital design with emphasis on Programmable Logic including:
-- VHDL/Verilog
-- Xilinx/Altera/Micro Semi Tools
-- Simulation, Timing Analysis, and Synthesis

Software Engineer $97,740 - $144,460 per year.
