Full Job Description

The Games Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) is responsible for budgets and forecasts, management reporting, and long-range planning for our Games business. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our evolving games content portfolio, inform games technology investments, and partner with senior business leaders to impact strategic decisions. 

Success in this position requires you to be a self-starter, an analytical thought partner with a keen eye for detail, and have proven skills and experience as a cross-functional partner. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and embrace ambiguity. You must be an expert communicator who is able to convey complex ideas using both qualitative and quantitative means to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

This role reports to the Director of Games FP&A and is based in Los Angeles, California, with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Lead annual budget planning, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning 

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities to inform forecast and strategic decision-making

  • Create clear, compelling narratives and presentations that communicate complex financial analyses and recommendations to senior executives

  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses to deliver insights, and facilitate trade-off discussions, scenario plans, opportunity size, etc. 

  • Build and establish new workflows, financial dashboards, and reporting to support Games leadership decision-making, bringing structure to a data and systems environment that is still evolving 

  • Drive creation, standardization, and automation of management reporting in dashboards, reports, & templates. 

  • Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience with proven track record in financial and strategic analyses; FP&A or strategic finance experience in Games preferred

  • Strong passion for games, Netflix IP, or the entertainment industry at large.

  • Comfortable in a scrappy, fast-paced, and always-changing environment; highly curious and excited to build structure from the ground up

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including manipulating and modeling with large datasets

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to partner cross-functionality 

  • Superior proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with expertise in building and managing complex financial models

  • Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver work under tight timelines

  • Proven ability to integrate GenAI and automation into your daily workflow to accelerate data analysis, surface insights with higher velocity, and transform manual tasks into scalable solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with strong knowledge of accounting and the highest standards of integrity and ethics; familiarity with financial systems such as Anaplan, TM1, Looker, and Tableau is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $155,000.00 - $225,000.00.
