The opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and commercially focused leader to join EY Canada's Strategic Deals Team (SDT) within Clients & Industries as an Associate Director, Managed Services Growth & Strategic Pursuits.

In this role, you will help drive the growth of EY's Managed Services business by leading strategic pursuits, supporting opportunity conversion, and identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships. You will work closely with Managed Services leaders, client-serving professionals, Service Delivery Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support the pursuit lifecycle, enhance opportunity quality, and contribute to the continued growth of the Managed Services portfolio.

As a key member of the team, you will help shape and execute growth strategies, support major business development opportunities, review strategic managed services pursuits, and coach teams on identifying and capturing additional revenue opportunities within existing accounts. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and high-profile opportunities across sectors, service lines, and managed services offerings.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead and support strategic Managed Services pursuits and business development opportunities across sectors and service offerings
  • Drive the pursuit lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, solution development, proposal support, client presentations, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Partner with account teams and client-serving professionals to identify, shape, and advance Managed Services opportunities.
  • Review and provide quality oversight on active managed services pursuits to improve win rates, enhance delivery readiness, and support successful outcomes.
  • Support the review and management of existing managed services engagements to ensure delivery commitments are being achieved and growth opportunities are identified.
  • Coach and support Service Delivery Managers in identifying, developing, and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of managed services growth strategies and account expansion plans.
  • Monitor and report on pursuit activity, pipeline performance, opportunity progression, and key growth metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Managed Services, Clients & Industries, service lines, Risk Management, Finance, and other support functions.
  • Facilitate pursuit discussions, opportunity reviews, and stakeholder meetings to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Manage multiple strategic opportunities and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to team, practice, and firm initiatives as part of continuous improvement objectives.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in managed services, business development, account management, strategic pursuits, consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading complex pursuits, large opportunities, or strategic growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and expanding client relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience reviewing and shaping strategic opportunities from qualification through deal execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple service lines and business functions.
  • Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders and influencing decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively navigate a complex, matrixed organization.


Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience within a professional services environment.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Bilingualism in English and French would be considered an asset

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
    • Vancouver/Victoria: $126,800 to $211,300
    • Dieppe: $114,000 to $190,000
