We currently have a career opportunity for an entry-level Consultant to join our Cyber Consulting team and contribute to a range of client engagements and internal initiatives. As a member of the team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to support the delivery of cybersecurity and IT risk services, build foundational consulting skills, and develop practical experience across public- and private-sector organizations.

You'll help conduct research, analyze information, prepare high-quality deliverables, and participate in client discussions with guidance from senior team members. You'll be expected to take ownership of assigned tasks, raise questions or risks promptly, incorporate feedback, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. As your experience grows, you'll have opportunities to deepen your cybersecurity knowledge, strengthen client relationships, and support broader practice initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, development, delivery, analysis, and reporting of cyber threat simulation exercises.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of cybersecurity playbooks, plans, procedures, and supporting materials.
  • Help develop and deliver cyber response training, workshops, and exercise materials.
  • Conduct research, interviews, document reviews, and data analysis using established approaches and templates.
  • Document findings clearly, identify potential issues, and contribute practical observations and recommendations for review by senior team members.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, review your own work for accuracy and completeness, and incorporate feedback to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Track assigned activities, communicate progress, and raise potential risks, delays, or questions to the engagement team in a timely manner.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal working sessions, including preparing materials, taking notes, and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Stay informed about business, technology, and cybersecurity trends relevant to our clients and services.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, proposals, practice development, and other team initiatives as required.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • An undergraduate or master's degree, completed or expected shortly, preferably in Information Security, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.
  • Up to two years of relevant experience gained through employment, internships, co-op placements, academic projects, volunteer work, military service, or other transferable experience.
  • A foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and an interest in one or more areas such as incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, security governance, network and infrastructure security, identity and access management, risk and compliance, security architecture, or data protection.
  • Awareness of commonly used cybersecurity frameworks and standards; academic or practical exposure is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • The ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively, and meet project deadlines with guidance.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and consulting approaches.
  • Interest in developing multimedia content, including videos or other materials that support cyber readiness engagements.
  • French and English bilingual skills are highly preferred.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
