OMD Associate Director, Digital Activation (Digital IO + Paid Social a must!)

Overview

Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring client satisfaction through effective client and team management and partnership with creative and other agencies. As a leader within the digital activation team responsible for the execution of Paid Social and Direct IO media, you will be expected to forge deep partnerships across Display, Programmatic, and Offline media teams.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long-term execution plans from client's stated business objectives, implement those plans, and achieve key metrics (KPIs) as defined by the client.


  • Analytical ability to extract insights/actions from data and relate the "story" back to client's business goals.


  • Organizational and leadership capabilities to assign resources, track progress, assist in execution, and consistently plan programs through supervision of junior team members.


  • Effectively present strategic and tactical plans to clients, staff, and internal teams.


  • Provide regular insight and training to challenge and develop junior team members.


  • Facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting, pacing, campaign creation, and optimization across Paid Social and Direct IO campaigns.


  • Partner with publishers, vendors, and internal teams to support Direct IO campaign execution, trafficking, delivery, optimization, and reporting.


  • Oversee Paid Social campaign activation and optimization across key social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms.


  • Understanding of business concepts and client objectives to identify campaign expansion opportunities.


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of prior experience in digital activation, with experience leading hands-on-keyboard traders across paid social and direct IO channels.


  • Demonstrates hands-on proficiency across major paid social Ads Managers (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snap, Pinterest) and direct publisher IO execution.


  • Proven track record in negotiating, executing, and overseeing direct publisher insertion orders, custom content programs, and high-impact digital buys.


  • Strong knowledge of the broader digital ecosystem, partnering closely with programmatic leads on cross-channel audience alignment.


  • Proven leadership ability to organize the team, meet campaign deadlines, execute timely creative refreshes, and proactively escalate key updates to agency leadership.


  • Experience driving vendor relationships, joint business reviews, and team innovation via platform alphas, betas, and new ad formats.


  • Strong client presence with experience composing and presenting quarterly Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, translating trading mechanics into insights, and running ongoing status meetings.


  • Functional command of ad tech infrastructure (CM360, DV/IAS, Prisma) while enforcing strict QA and campaign management protocols.


$70,000 - $125,000

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
