Position Overview:In this role, you'll partner closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales strategy for multiple properties, playing a key leadership role in positioning the hotels across group, corporate, and convention segments while fostering strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service experiences
Key Responsibilities:- Achieve the financial objectives of the properties in their managed areas for market segments actively being worked.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals across group, business travel, and catering segments.
- Drive new business through strategic prospecting, relationship-building, and active participation in industry events and trade shows.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and long-term partnerships.
- Partner closely with Events, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to deliver seamless execution and aligned strategies.
- Associate Director of Sales plays a crucial role in the property's group sales efforts, focusing on specific group business while managing a dedicated team of group sales associates.
- Develop and manage group sales revenue and operation budgets and provide forecast reports.
- Support the Director of Sales with forecasting, goal; setting, and performance monitoring.
- Respond to incoming group/catering opportunities within pre-defined peak room parameters and designated market segments.
- Manage the hotel's key accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships and uncovering new opportunities.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business through prospecting, networking, and attending industry events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and client-facing materials.
- Achieve or exceed group sales revenue goals through effective selling and upselling techniques.
- Supervise and mentor sales team members, ensuring individual and team targets are met.
- Assist the DOSM in leading regular sales meetings and provide coaching to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Analyze booking pace, conversion ratios, and market penetration to inform decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of information into sales systems.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Provide effective written communication to the hotel operations team regarding onsite groups and events.
Qualification Standards:- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, the Associate Director of Sales may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel, including but not limited to weekends and holidays.
