GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

Assists Information Technology (IT) leadership with managing the College's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at all locations. This role works closely with functional departments to develop reports, ensure data accuracy, and support system integrations across institutional platforms.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensures the stability, optimization, and continued evolution of the College's enterprise systems, most notably the full Colleague SAAS suite (Student, Finance, HCM, Adaptive, Extend) and its associated integrations with third-party systems.
  2. Collaborates with functional leaders across Enrollment, Academic Affairs, Finance, Student Financial Services, Human Resources, and other administrative units to align system capabilities with institutional priorities.
  3. Provides support in the development of functional area reporting.
  4. Translates functional area requirements into technical specifications.
  5. Drives a culture of continuous improvement in enterprise systems, promoting industry-standard best practices and maximizing return on the College's technology investment.
  6. Identifies processes that have potential for improvement and efficiency based on what Middlesex College's enterprise systems offer.
  7. Coordinate with vendors and third-party software providers to ensure quality service delivery and effective problem resolution.
  8. Participates in and contributes to the review of all enterprise systems, including sub-modules and integrations, to ensure that Middlesex College is not accumulating technical debt.
  9. Participates in relevant industry groups representing Middlesex College, while staying current on industry trends and technological advancements.
  10. Assists in system configuration, security administration, and release management for all Ellucian Colleague modules ensuring data accuracy and alignment across ERP and integrated systems.
  11. Coordinates and prioritizes Colleague functional requests, defect resolution, and process improvements in partnership with ITS Leadership and institutional functional teams.
  12. Leads the planning, testing, and deployment of Ellucian Colleague releases, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and continuous adoption of applicable features.
  13. Manages the integration of Ellucian Colleague with other institutional systems (e.g., adaptive, learning management systems, identity management, advancement solutions, reporting, data archive, data warehouse, and analytics platforms).
  14. Leads the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including business processes, data flows, integrations, and security configurations.
  15. Serves as an escalation point for internal functional and technical resources, judiciously utilizing external support resources as needed.
  16. Oversees multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  17. Utilizes structured project management and change management methodologies to guide system enhancements and institutional rollouts.
  18. Partners with institutional research, data governance, and analytics teams to ensure access to accurate, timely, and actionable data from Ellucian Colleague and integrated applications.
  19. Supports development of standardized dashboards, operational reports, and compliance reporting to meet academic, administrative, and regulatory requirements.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise applications, including at least three (3) years of direct support for Ellucian Colleague in a higher education environment
  • Demonstrated administrative expertise in Ellucian Colleague modules, including configuration, security, reporting, and integrations
  • Experience with reporting tools against a SQL Database utilizing Informer or Insights or similar reporting tool
  • Three (3) years administration of Ellucian Ethos
  • Proven experience managing system releases, testing, and upgrades in a complex ERP environment
  • Strong understanding of higher education administrative processes and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree
  • IT experience in higher education
  • Experience with Colleague SaaS environment


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
