Job Description:
Gotham is in search of an Associate Creative Director, Copy for a global beauty brand. YOU are a witty writer who can translate a complex brief into a simple, kickass headline; a team player; ace concept-creator; restless innovator eager to push the boundaries. WE are a small, vibrant agency with who will give you as much opportunity as you can handle.
What you'll do:
• Work with Art Director partners to take a strategic brief and create a big idea concept and multiple proof of concept executions
• Carry all projects from initial creative concept through execution and release
• Present ideas, layouts, scripts, and storyboards to Creative Director and Account team
• Present approved work directly to client
• Develop creative for print, digital, social, mobile and TV
• Stay in the know and on the pulse of social trends, talent, and competitors
What we're looking for:
• A copywriting portfolio showcasing examples of brand concepts and campaigns, including executions of concepts worked on
• Produced work is a must and select spec ideas acceptable to show thinking
• Experience developing digital and social conceptual ideas
• Natural storyteller and excellent presentation skills
• 8+ years of copywriting expertise and relevant ad agency experience, preferably working on well-known, consumer facing brands
• A clear and elevated sense of style and craft, high taste level, and forward-thinking mindset
• A deep well of knowledge inclusive of social and digital culture, as well as industry trends and competitors
• Autonomous self-starter who is successful at managing multiple projects without swirl, and comfortable with pivots and tight timelines
• Strong, clear perspective with equally impactful communication style, both written and verbal
The salary range for this position is $130,000-140,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
