Position OverviewWe are seeking a driven Associate Communications Manager to support public relations efforts across Zynga's portfolio of games. This role is ideal for a communications professional who understands the fast-paced nature of ongoing game updates, player communities and real-time storytelling.
You'll help execute PR campaigns tied to seasonal content, in-game events and major updates while contributing to video content production, editorial planning and cross-channel communications. The ideal candidate is equal parts organized operator, strong writer and culturally fluent storyteller with a passion for games.
Key Responsibilities- Media Relations: Assist in the planning and execution of PR campaigns tied to game launches, updates, seasonal events, and new feature launches.
- Editorial Management: Maintain integrated editorial calendars across PR and social beats; track game updates, patch cycles, and industry milestones.
- Content Creation: Write compelling press releases, media alerts, blog posts, pitch letters, and other materials.
- Video & Content Production: Assist in planning and producing video content (developer diaries, update videos, trailers, social clips) and translating PR beats into visual storytelling.
- Blog Management: Assist in the planning and maintenance of posts on Zynga's corporate blog channel.
- Media Monitoring & Admin: Track coverage and compile performance reports; maintain media databases, contact lists, and PR measurement tools.
Required Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience in PR or communications.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CMS programs (e.g., WordPress, Webflow) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut).
Skills- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities in a self-motivated environment.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital communications, and the current media landscape.
- Familiarity with PR measurement and analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in the gaming, entertainment, and/or technology industries.
- Background in social media management and corporate YouTube/Instagram channel growth.
What We Offer YouThe pay range for this position in
California at the start of employment is expected to be between $78,900 and $115,400 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
