Job Duties: Participate from project inception, understanding requirements to architect and develop applications. Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality applications using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, and Pandas. Build and optimize largescale data storage, computation, and distribution systems. Handle large volumes of time-series data, developing services, APIs, and applications for data processing and analysis. Work within a multi-disciplinary Agile squad, collaborating with program and product managers to meet business demands. Engage in iterative design processes for UX, services, and infrastructure to improve user engagement and platform performance. Prepare comprehensive user documentation for development and operational continuity. Adhere to and contribute towards BlackRock's UX and design standards. Continuously learn and implement new technologies, innovating to solve complex problems within the data ecosystem.
Qualifications: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and 12 months of experience in job offered, or closely related role. ALT REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and 36 months of experience in job offered, or closely related role. One year of experience in the following skills: Advanced SQL; Data operations using Aqua Data Studio; Unix Bash Scripting; Log analysis and monitoring using Enterprise Splunk; Protocol Buffers Serialization and Deserialization; Developing in Python, Perl and Java; ETL processes; Data warehousing solutions using Hadoop, Hive, Luigi and PySpark; Real time data streaming and integration using Apache Kafka; Snowflake data warehousing solutions; Azure DevOps; XML, JSON, REST API and app server logs; and Software Development and Testing for Financial Industry.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$157,000.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
