What you’ll be doing… As the Associate Director - Network Engineering for the Network Operational Support (NOS) team, you will manage a team of software developers responsible for building, maintaining, and modernizing systems and automation tools for the WAE&O organization. These tools directly support daily operations for network engineers across network planning, operations, performance, capital management, and engineering/build. You will provide guidance and leadership to set best practices across application development, testing, and deployment. You will also be expected to drive AI adoption and AI integration into engineering workflows. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in setting and tracking key metrics, aligning tool delivery with broader business objectives, and assigning, tracking, and evaluating specific quarterly commitments.
Managing Tools Development:
Partnering with key stakeholders to analyze current business processes and reimagining automation opportunities.
Calculating ROI of automation opportunities and prioritizing them in a manner that provides the most strategic positive impact on the business.
Translating software requirements received from key stakeholders into clear, concise user stories to be implemented by technical development teams.
Overseeing technical strategy and core application architecture standards utilized by the team.
Building relationships with a diverse set of technical and non-technical partners across multiple organizations.
Communicating project timelines and status to leadership.
Ensuring deliverables are completed on time and with a high level of quality.
Overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) and final signoffs from business owners.
Ensuring tools and reporting are visually appealing to the user and provides a high level of usability.
Generating ad-hoc requests utilizing data from multiple sources and applications such as Qlik, Looker, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and Google Sheet.
Partnering with Centralized Engineering teams, National Capital Management team, and Engineering Analytics team to define and set key metrics used to track the progress of the network build plan.
Collaborating with business partners in Centralized Engineering, Regional Network Field Teams, Finance, Global Supply Chain, and IT/NS to provide cutting-edge solutions to major pain points.
Partnering with key stakeholders to prioritize the portfolio, identify resolutions, and escalate roadblocks.
Ensuring constant compliance and security for tool platforms.
Building and Leading a Cohesive Team:
Overseeing the professional growth and development of each member of the team.

What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Understanding and working knowledge of technologies such as SQL Server, Figma, Oracle, MySQL, Javascript, React, Angular, Qlik, Looker and other modern coding platforms.
Basic knowledge of UX research and UI design.
Basic understanding and knowledge of AI platforms such as Claude, Gemini, Copilot.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience in full-stack Software Development using the MVC paradigm.
Experience in C#, Java, Javascript, Typescript or equivalent languages.
Experience utilizing and administering Microsoft SQL Server Instance.
Experience utilizing SQL Server SSIS for creating ETL services.
Advanced knowledge of the following Verizon software platforms such as S4, FUZE SPM, NPP, IOP, FUZE Real Estate, UNeFi, RFDS and CND.
Proven track record and experience with implementing/managing workflows to improve business processes and provide visibility to data.
Experience in multiple aspects of software development (requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and performance tuning).
Proven ability to drive the adoption of tools and data analytics across multiple organizations.
Ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines concurrently.
Knowledge of Verizon Wireless Budget Management processes and RAN Build Plan workflows.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $114,000.00 - $219,000.00.
