Full Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager assists with providing the planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule, from initial project identification through construction closeout. May supervise office/field administrative staff or project/field engineers and other assigned staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain project scope, action, decision, risk and deliverable logs.
• Support design reviews and coordinate United stakeholder comments.
• Track design submissions, permitting requirements and agency responses.
• Assist with project budgets, forecasts, commitments and change logs.
• Maintain milestone schedules and track upcoming decisions and deliverables.
• Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and action-item follow-up.
• Support coordination with Cargo Operations, Facilities, IT, Security and other stakeholders.
• Participate in site walks and document field conditions and project constraints.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking and contractor coordination.
• Support commissioning, turnover, documentation and project closeout.
• Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture preferred. 4-year degree required.
• 3+ years of Assistant Project Manager experience
• Knowledge and application of construction cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation control, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
• Understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; and experience with project-related Construction Management systems is preferred.
• Project-management support experience on commercial, industrial or aviation projects.
• Previous experience working within an active-airport environment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of design, permitting, construction and closeout processes.
• Experience maintaining project budgets, schedules and control logs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously.

USD $105,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
