Job DescriptionThe Project Manager provides the planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule, from initial project identification through construction closeout. May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, assistant project/construction managers, and other assigned staff. The position will serve as the key interface amount the client's stakeholders, SFO, designers, contractors and other program participants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Lead assigned project-delivery workstreams.
- Define and maintain scope, requirements, responsibilities and project interfaces.
- Coordinate design reviews and consolidate client stakeholder comments.
- Manage interfaces with SFO, designers, contractors and adjacent projects.
- Maintain schedules, dependencies, constraints and required decision dates.
- Track budgets, forecasts, changes, risks and potential commercial exposure.
- Coordinate permitting, approvals and client acceptance requirements.
- Review construction phasing, logistics and impacts to airline operations.
- Prepare concise project reporting and escalate decisions requiring leadership action.
- Coordinate turnover, ORAT, punch-list completion and closeout.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture preferred. 4-year degree required.
- 5 years of Project Management experience.
- Knowledge and application of construction cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation control, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
- Understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems is preferred.
- Project-management experience delivering complex airport or terminal projects.
- Demonstrated active-airport project experience.
- Owner-representative experience managing design and construction workstreams.
- Strong command of scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder management.
- Ability to independently manage workstreams and represent the client professionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously.
