Full Job Description
What The Role Is

Babylist is hiring a Fulfillment Operations Assistant Manager for Day Shift at our fulfillment center in Commercial Point, Ohio. This is a hands-on floor leadership role at the center of our day-shift operation, with direct ownership across kitting, picking, packing, SLUs, and drivers.

Our fulfillment center is growing fast, and this role is part of how we invest in that growth. You will lead the floor across all five workflows, coach a strong team, roll out new processes, and keep a high-volume shift running at its best. You will support the management of 60+ team members and own the rhythm of the day.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, core hours 7:00am to 5:30pm. You will be expected onsite for shift handoff with both the gaining and losing shifts.

Who You Are
  • Experienced Warehouse Leader: You bring 8+ years of management experience with at least 3 years managing or supervising teams in a warehouse environment
  • Floor-First Operator: You lead from where the work happens and are comfortable directing multiple active workflows at once
  • Process-Oriented Problem Solver: You excel at implementing efficient processes, optimizing workflows, and holding standards steady under pressure
  • Driven Contributor: You have a proven ability to support operational success in high-growth or fast-paced environments. Start-up experience is a plus
  • Supportive Team Leader: You are skilled at coaching, mentoring, and building a collaborative, accountable team
  • Operationally Savvy: Warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and order fulfillment processes are second nature to you
  • Safety Champion: You prioritize workplace safety and compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Effective Communicator: You build strong relationships across shifts and keep everyone aligned on priorities, especially at handoff.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Lead the Floor: Provide direct, in-person leadership across kitting, picking, packing, SLUs, and drivers throughout the day shift
  • Own Shift Handoff: Be onsite for handoff with the gaining and losing shifts so coverage and communication stay seamless on both ends of the day
  • Support Daily Operations: Manage daily workflows and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Develop the Team: Help recruit, train, and mentor team members, building a culture of growth, accountability, and engagement
  • Optimize Processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive efficiency and reduce waste
  • Monitor Performance: Track KPIs and make data-driven adjustments that keep the shift performing at its best
  • Promote Safety: Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure environment for all team members
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with warehouse leadership and cross-functional partners to align on priorities

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
  • Walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
  • Lift and move items up to 20 lbs regularly throughout the shift
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion

The Fulfillment Center is closed on the following days for day shift in 2026:
