Job summary

As a Senior Reputation Risk Officer in Asset and Wealth Management Risk, you provide independent review, guidance, and challenge on reputation risk matters that influence key business decisions. You help us consistently operate with integrity by assessing complex, high-stakes situations and recommending sound, well-reasoned actions. You collaborate closely with front office partners and second line stakeholders to strengthen risk identification, mitigation, governance, and escalation. You contribute to a culture that values thoughtful challenge, clear communication, and strong controls.

Job responsibilities
  • Implement the Firmwide Reputation Risk Policy and Standard within Asset and Wealth Management, partnering with relevant business and risk leaders.
  • Review and challenge reputation risk assessments for clients, transactions, and business initiatives, and recommend appropriate risk mitigants.
  • Advise senior stakeholders with clear, timely guidance that supports well-governed decision-making.
  • Coordinate governance, escalation, and documentation for relevant reputation risk reviews and outcomes.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and other second line teams to support consistent risk identification and treatment.
  • Guide front office teams in understanding interconnected risk issues that may impact commercial interests and reputation risk outcomes.
  • Maintain strong senior stakeholder relationships to proactively surface emerging issues and support coordinated risk management.
  • Lead reputation risk projects and capability-building efforts aligned to evolving regulatory, governance, technology, and emerging risk requirements.
  • Monitor geopolitical, social, and economic developments and assess potential impacts to business activities and reputation risk posture.
  • Contribute to initiatives including process improvements, training, risk awareness, senior management reporting, and technology enablement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated experience assessing complex information and identifying key reputation risk factors and practical mitigants.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective independent challenge and influence outcomes through clear, concise communication.
  • Knowledge of reputation risk concepts and related governance expectations within a financial services environment.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and facilitating well-controlled escalation and decision processes.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong judgment, attention to detail, and rigorous controls.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-management skills, including cross-functional work with business and control partners.
  • Professional experience in financial services within Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and/or a front office environment.
  • Proficiency conducting research and due diligence using internal and external information sources and risk assessment tools.
