Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, strategic Asset Manager to lead financial and operational oversight of a growing portfolio of multifamily assets. This individual will serve as a key decision-maker, working closely with the Chief Asset Manager, lenders, equity partners, and senior leadership to drive asset performance, execute capital events (including refinancings and dispositions), and optimize cash flow and returns across the portfolio. This is a high-impact role suited for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in multifamily asset management.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full lifecycle performance of a designated multifamily portfolio, including budget oversight, cash management, rent/expense controls, capital planning, and distribution strategies.
  • Lead the review and analysis of monthly financial performance, proactively identifying opportunities to maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with operations and property management teams to develop and implement annual budgets and strategic business plans.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decision-making around asset strategy, capital improvements, refinancing, and dispositions.
  • Manage and monitor property-level and portfolio-wide cash flow, ensuring accurate forecasting of equity distributions and return metrics.
  • Oversee asset-level valuations and market benchmarking, including data gathering, competitive analysis, and progress against business plan targets.
  • Drive execution of capital events such as construction draws, refinances, and sales, working closely with brokers, lenders, and partners to ensure seamless transactions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to managing partners on asset performance relative to original underwriting, with actionable insights for improvement.
  • Support acquisition underwriting and due diligence efforts by evaluating potential investment opportunities and integration strategies.
  • Represent ownership interests in meetings with JV partners, lenders, property managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including municipalities, vendors, and consultants.
  • Lead or participate in strategic initiatives and process improvements across the asset management platform.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPM) a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial real estate, with a strong emphasis on multifamily asset management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale portfolios and executing complex real estate transactions.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial modeling and reporting tools required.
  • Familiarity with Yardi, RealPage, or other industry-standard property management software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of operating independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and a strong sense of ownership.
