Asset Manager
Musselwhite Mine
Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager, the Asset Manager is responsible for leading all mobile, fixed, electrical and site services asset management. Includes planning, execution and reliability activities within the site maintenance areas. The manager sets the vision for site asset management and drives accountability to meet or exceed expectations and targets in all business areas related to asset management (uptime, schedule and PM targets, cost efficiency). The Asset manager will work in collaboration with the mining and process operations teams to develop and implement safe maintenance plans and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively lead the Asset Management team as an integrated part of Musselwhite's operations.
• Actively drive a safety-focused work environment, prioritizing risk control and mitigation processes, and fostering
an environment where employees are empowered to speak up about safety concerns.
• Conduct Verifications of Critical Controls as defined under Health and Safety objectives.
• Lead all contractors and employees to ensure compliance with all SOPs, safety and environmental standards,
and local and company regulations.
• Develop processes and procedures to support the effective implementation of the Asset Management strategy
at Musselwhite.
• The development of clear annual maintenance plans integrated with the zero-based budgeting and planning
process.
• Recommend systems and process design in conjunction with operational systems and processes needs that
achieve overall technical, commercial and social business objectives.
• Through change management, encourage integration across the value stream to better serve Musselwhite's
fixed, mobile, electrical and facilities asset performance targets.
• Develop and supervise the capital expenditure and operating budgets for asset management areas in alignment
with site and corporate objectives.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve performance, ensure ongoing growth and development and
design organic succession plans. Identify and develop people to meet current and future organizational needs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI's) used for Asset Management team.
• Be an effective member of the Senior Leadership Team at Musselwhite and build a work environment of
accountability and openness.
• Develop practical and viable contingency plans in response to key risks to ensure plan delivery.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, trades, business, or related field or significant relevant industry experience.
• At least 15 years' experience in mining and/or heavy construction industry with a strong background in Asset
Management.
• At least 5 years Supervisory/Management experience leading a successful team and implementing value driven
improvements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of planning, scheduling and budget forecasting.
• Development of annual maintenance plans and budgets.
• Proven experience working in changing environments in a remote setting.
• Validated experience developing and delivering business strategies that improve Asset Management.
performance, reliability and safety, reducing operating costs and increasing return on assets.
• Demonstrated experience with change, communication and knowledge management methods and systems.
Working Conditions:
• The Musselwhite Mine is a fly-in/fly-out operation. The schedule for this role can be 14 days on/14 days off, 7
days on/7days off or 4 days on/3 days off depending on the candidate.
