This position reports to:District Sales Manager, Dallas
Your role and responsibilities:The
Area Sales Manager - Channel is engaged in customer-facing implementation strategy to achieve sales growth across our ABB portfolio across the geography. He/she also ensures individual BU sales targets are met or exceeded and that net margin maximizes profits within the geography. The individual participates in C&I planning and ensures that strategies are aligned with the district and regional C&I objectives, in conjunction with talent management and recruitment. Continual coaching of team members to win and build trusting relationships across their customer base.
This is a
remote position, but must reside within the territory (Austin, Dallas, Houston) preferred. #LI-remote
You will be mainly accountable for:- Lead performance management and annual reviews for all C&I sales personnel, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute employee development plans, including technical and professional training, while coaching sales teams to improve decision-making, planning, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate a "Go to Market Roadmap" strategy for new product releases to get team connected with product marketing.
- Creates development plan for all channel employees including technical and professional training
- Coach sales resources to make winning decisions, plan better, and effectively allocate resources based on customer needs and potential for growth.
- Quarterly plan review of channel partners' progress, success and growth needs • Escalation point for Channel commercial decisions
- ASM will be responsible for top local accounts relationship & results
- Collaboration with DSM to measure channel loyalty, strength and coverage
Qualifications for the role:- Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business. Advanced degree desirable
- Minimum 10-years related experience
- Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Senior Account Management experience
- Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling commercial, industrial and residential projects to electrical contractors
- Ability to travel 25%-50% throughout territory as needed. Territory will include (Austin, San Antionio, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma, and Louisiana).
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States.
