JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Product Director in Communications, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

The Communications Product team powers a critical enterprise platform that delivers customer communications across email, SMS, push notifications, secure messaging, and emerging channels. We enable teams across Consumer & Community Banking to create, manage, and govern customer communications to support financial well-being and drive engagement. This role leads the strategy and execution of business-user tooling that balances usability, scale, resiliency, and controls requirements. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Technology, Architecture, Controls, and Line of Business teams to deliver intuitive experiences that accelerate communication strategy execution while maintaining strong governance and controls. Success requires navigating complex organizational ecosystems, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving transformational change across multiple platforms and functions.

Job responsibilities
  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Lead the strategy and evolution of business-user tooling across the communications lifecycle, enabling teams to design, build, measure, and optimize customer communications at scale.
  • Deeply understand user personas, workflows, and pain points to deliver intuitive experiences that increase efficiency, adoption, and user satisfaction.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand emerging priorities and proactively evolve communications capabilities to enable fast execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Partner across Product, Design, Technology, and Architecture teams to create an integrated ecosystem of tools and eliminate friction across user workflows.
  • Lead large-scale transformational initiatives that improve scalability, automation, speed-to-market, and operational effectiveness.
  • Establish strong risk, controls, and governance frameworks that support regulatory and compliance requirements while maintaining a superior user experience.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to align diverse user needs around scalable, reusable solutions that advance enterprise objectives while preserving platform integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across product, technology, operations, design, and control functions.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale transformational initiatives in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience translating customer needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Experience utilizing data, metrics, and user insights to drive prioritization and product investment decisions.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk management, controls, and compliance considerations within regulated environments.

  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Experience with communications (CPaaS), marketing technology, customer engagement, or content management platforms.
