Job HighlightsResponsible for overseeing the operations, performance, and growth of approximately four to six swim school locations within a designated region. (Alternatively, may have smaller scope/ fewer locations if also responsible as the General Manager of a location.) This role includes leading and developing multiple swim school General Managers, Managers, and Team Members implementing standard operating procedures, ensuring high-quality swim programs, engagement with families, and achieving results.
ResponsibilitiesOperational Oversight- Oversee daily operations across multiple swim school locations, ensuring consistency and high
standards. - Implement standard operating procedures to ensure operational efficiency and consistency across
locations. - Ensure each location meets health, safety, and quality standards as well as family experience
expectations.
Team Leadership, Development, and People Practices- Hire, onboard, train, and mentor swim school managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth,
and accountability. - Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure all locations are staffed at appropriate levels.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and support professional
development for management teams. - Lead monthly meetings and training sessions for swim school managers to reinforce best practices
and share insights. - Collaborate with HR Business Partner to ensure schools are compliant with local and state
regulations and employer requirements.
Family Experience & Satisfaction- Ensure each swim school provides an exceptional experience for the families, promptly addressing
issues and maintaining a high level of satisfaction. - Implement family feedback processes and continuously monitor Net Promoter Scores (NPS) or other satisfaction metrics to identify improvement areas.
- Support managers in responding to family concerns, helping them maintain positive relationships
with students and parents.
Program & Curriculum Standards- Ensure all swim schools follow the organization's swim program curriculum, maintaining consistent
quality and safety standards. - Work with managers to assess program effectiveness and adapt offerings based on community
needs and feedback.
Sales, Marketing, & Growth- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive enrollment and awareness in each school location.
- Implement regional strategies for lead generation, outreach, and promotions to boost enrollment
and retention. - Monitor enrollment trends, identifying opportunities for new programs, seasonal promotions, or
partnerships to grow the district.
Financial Management & Reporting- Manage the regional budget, ensuring each swim school operates within financial goals.
- Oversee financial performance metrics such as revenue, profitability, and family retention across
locations. - Provide monthly reporting on each school's performance, identifying trends, challenges, and
opportunities for improvement.
Compliance & Safety- Ensure all swim schools adhere to health and safety regulations and organizational safety standards.
- Conduct QC audits on facilities for safety compliance, proper equipment maintenance, and
cleanliness. - Implement emergency response protocols and ensure all locations conduct regular safety drills.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 or more years of leadership/managerial experience
- Proven history of engaging, developing and retaining successful leaders

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe role of Area Manager requires frequently needing to be able to talk, hear, see, and walk, with frequent
commuting required to various worksites. It requires working in a warm humid environment, changing often between standing, moving or being in a swimming pool and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds. Requires work in a variety of office and conference settings, with prolonged periods of working on a computer and telephone.
