SRE Lead - Architecture

Location: PCS CA, Toronto

Years of Experience: 10-15 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SRE Lead to join our Architecture team. This strategic leadership position is dedicated to ensuring the operational excellence, resilience, and reliability of our enterprise-level digital ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) knowledge and will work in an Onshore capacity to guide a team of engineers in minimizing service disruption and optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in implementing SRE best practices.
  • Drive the maturity of our reliability engineering practices and reduce operational toil.
  • Translate business needs into high-availability solutions that enhance system performance.
  • Ensure platforms deliver a consistent, high-quality experience to end customers.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to bridge gaps and improve service reliability.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to proactively address potential issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies for incident response and post-mortem analysis.

Mandatory Skills:
  • 14+ years of professional experience in IT, with at least 6+ years focused specifically on SRE and observability.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience in incident management and operational excellence.
  • Expertise in monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
