Summary:

The Architect is responsible for defining the high-level structure of enterprise applications and guiding engineering teams in implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This role involves making critical technology decisions, creating reference architectures, and mentoring senior engineers and technical leads. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across a wide range of technologies and frameworks and consistently incorporates industry best practices into the software development lifecycle.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices for application development.
  • Evaluate and select frameworks, libraries, and tools best suited for business and technical needs.
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures and reusable reference implementations.
  • Attend sprint planning and work closely with product managers and designers to understand business priorities and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to design end-to-end solutions for strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor Technical Leads and Senior Software Engineers, providing guidance on architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Drive the adoption of industry best practices and emerging technologies in relevant technical domains.
  • Lead discovery sessions and facilitate technical design workshops.
  • Support the creation of comprehensive solution design documents, including application and integration architecture.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Web services: SOAP/REST, HTML/JavaScript/CSS
  • Enterprise architecture principles and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Application programming: Progress, C#, C++, .NET
  • CRM and automation platforms: Salesforce (SFDC), Visualforce, Apex API, Apex Triggers, SOQL
  • Business Process Management (BPM), Robotic Process Automation (RPA)


Advanced-level knowledge of:
  • AWS native development constructs
  • Enterprise integration architecture patterns
  • Solution design documentation and architectural modeling
  • Project discovery facilitation and technical requirements gathering


Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in an architecture role
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, distributed applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across engineering, product, and business teams
